Position
End to end configuration, testing, coverage analysis of the Companies complete solution (head end software through gateways, collectors, repeaters and managing the Smart Meters). Complete smart grid testing.
- WAN, NAN, HAN, and EMS test experience.
- Application test experience.
- 802.11g/n, TCP/IP, ZigBee protocols
- System integration testing.
Characterizing and improving network performance (scalability, stress, and load balance).
- Experience with sniffers, logic analyzers network/configuration troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Engineering (Software, firmware), Product Management and System Integrators to ensure product is world class quality.
- Working Design Verification Engineer will deliver day-to-day results to multiple assigned projects.
- Define end to end test procedures and methods to support test execution.
- Maintain, execute and deliver tasks/products on schedule
- Define required infrastructure.
- Validate system performance through:
- Testing and characterizing new network hardware and software products before release
- Executing end to end test plans in the lab and in the field
- Ensuring device interoperability across different product versions
- Review and actively participate in PLC document reviews( technical analysis and peer review)
- Understand network characteristics and identify areas for efficiency improvements
- Provide technical, user documentation and training as appropriate
- Provide test scripts for automating testing
- Provide complete tools for inclusion in field services portfolio of in-field troubleshooting tools
Experience
This position will design and perform end to end testing of Smart Grid solution. This includes:
- Strong background in network protocol - especially TCP/IP & 802.11g/n.
- Configure devices and applications to support the solution (software, devices, network)
- Write, review, and contribute to engineering documentation (Requirements, Test plans,design)
- Create test suite; architect, design, and implement automation suite.
- Wireless technologies (mesh, cellular, and network management).
- Engineering background required, BS preferred.
- Defining and executing testing strategies for complex, multi-technology networks.
- Mesh networking preferred.
- 8+ years testing end to end solutions.
