Position
Looking for an RF/Microwave Design Engineer with a 5+ years design background in microwave component design with an understanding of power dividers, couplers 0/180 and 90 degree hybrids and fixed phase shifters with multiple octave bandwidths, which are the Company’s integrated assembly’s building blocks. Construction techniques include Stripline, Microstrip, Ferrite and Coaxial in frequencies from 100 KHz through 40 GHz. The RF/MW Design Engineer will be able to combine construction technologies in order to optimize product packaging and performance.
- Expected to design and develop products from scratch that will meet the customers’ requirements
- Calculating the circuit element values, generating a physical layout, designing the mechanical packaging, and working on the processes that will be used in production
- Ability to utilize computer simulation tools such as Ansoft Designer, HFWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, and AutoCad
- Expected to work closely with other team members to transfer the design into detailed drawings and procedures that are required in order to successfully build and test the products
- Support project documentation such as various design and failure analysis and qualification test reports.
- A strong background in RF mechanical packaging and processes will be needed to successfully integrate into our team
- Requires interpersonal skills associated with working closely with the group’s various functional areas and management to support operations and key initiatives in the most effective and efficient manner.
- Hands on bench support for a wide assortment of programs.
Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Thorough knowledge of Electromagnetic modeling tools
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical design used to implement RF/MW designs
- Proficient PC skills.
- Eligible for a security clearance.
- US Citizenship required.
