Software Test Engineer

Position


The position is responsible for test verification development of board, module and system level products.
  • Product definition, integration of hardware and software, design verification testing and customer support through field trials and qualification testing. The position also includes the development of automated test solutions, both hardware and software, for production environment testing
  • Working closely with product development for product testability/manufacturability 
  • Designing and creating test plans and test configurations 
  • Selecting appropriate commercial test equipment and generating test programs 
  • Designing special test equipment/fixtures 
  • Writing test procedures and test documentation
  • Troubleshooting during testing, then issuing an appropriate trouble report 
  • Tracking test progress while coordinating with product designers

Experience


  • 5+ years of proven experience with Wireless communications, RF, analog and mixed Specialized Skills signal circuit design, troubleshooting and testing 
  • Preferable knowledge of WCDMA, HSDPA, LTE, cdma2000/1 xEV-DO and comparable Required 3G/3.5G/4G standards 
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic. Net and/or other equivalent text-based programming 
  • BSCS/BSEE (MSCS/MSEE preferred) Education Required 
  • Familiarity with the National Instruments Lab View/Test Stand development environment 
  • Familiarity with CPRI, OBSAI interfaces (a plus) 
  • Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing techniques (also a plus) 
  • Familiarity with software integration and error tracking tools 
  • Familiarity with major test tools and equipment, namely the Agilent PSA, MXA, ENA, ESG and power meter 
  • Environmental testing experience using temperature chambers 
  • Ability to communicate well 
  • Good writing skills and experience with writing test procedures and test documentation is essential
  • Applying extensive test experience and competence to the accomplishment of test engineering program
