Product Support Test Engineer

Position


As a member of our Level III Product Support and Test Verification team this position is responsible for training our Level II support team in Taiwan. Interacting with our customers to develop in network diagnostic tools. Analyzing field data to detect and isolate hardware and software issues. Provide on site support around the world. Work with our quality assurance team to develop accurate statistics on RMA items. Participate in our trouble ticket and CR processes. The position also includes the development of automated test solutions - both hardware and software - for production environment testing.
  • Applying extensive test experience and competence to the accomplishment of test engineering program objectives
  • Working closely with product development for product testability/manufacturability
  • Designing and creating test plans and test configurations 
  • Review our product specifications and ensure system level compliance
  • Track factory yield and optimize our test procedures to decrease production time
  • Create training material and support for our customers on site level I support team
  • Some travel is required for customer and/or factory support

Experience


  • 5+ years of proven experience with Wireless communications, RF, analog and mixed signal circuit design, troubleshooting and testing
  • Preferable knowledge of WCDMA/HSDPA/LTE and comparable 3G/3.5G/4G standards
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic.Net and/or other equivalent text-based programming languages for test automation
  • Familiarity with the National Instruments Test Stand and LabVIEW development environment
  • Familiarity with CPRI/OBSAI interfaces (a plus)
  • Familiarity with software integration and error tracking tools
  • Familiarity with major test tools and equipment, namely the Agilent PSA, MXA, ENA, ESG and power meter
  • Environmental testing experience using temperature chambers
  • Ability to communicate well
  • Good writing skills and experience with writing test procedures and test documentation is essential
  • Superior organization skills
  • BSEE, MSEE or professional experience
