PCB Layout - (Expedition is a must)

Position

The optimal candidate will be a methodical, detail oriented, self-starter who is also an excellent teamplayer and has experience in product development for commercial applications. Familiarity with RF and high speed digital layouttechniques would be helpful, as would insights into preventing issues related to mixing digital and RF transceiver functionality on the same board. Previous experience working in a fast-paced design culture would also be beneficial.

• Use Mentor Graphic Expedition PCB to create board layouts for applications in telecom infrastructure products
• Use Mentor DxDesigner schematic capture to document electrical design, generate netlist and BOM
• Utilize Library Tools and use Access/SQL for DxDatabook entries
• Design accurately and efficiently, to meet a development schedule
• Generate engineering documentation including AutoCad drawings and files for fabrication, assembly, Gerber, placement, BOM files etc, and also help maintain CAD database integrity
• Design for high volume manufacturability
• Work with mechanical designers to optimize board to chassis interfaces
• Contribute ideas for new designs from concept creation to production tooling

Experience

• 10 years minimum experience as a PCB Layout Designer
• Experience with development of commercial telecom equipment and document control systems a plus
• 5+ years experience designing with Mentor Graphics Expedition
• Experience with Expedition 2007.3+ preferred 
• Must be familiar with PCB board fabrication and surface mount assembly processing issues 
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point 
• Experience in Lotus Notes desired 
• CID or CID+ certification preferred 
• Experience with Valor is a plus
